Stewards of private capital.

A California-based private fund manager

Approach

A patient, disciplined approach to global markets.

WhiteSwan manages a private investment vehicle active across global currencies, commodities, indices and digital assets, applying proprietary criteria to identify a small number of high-conviction positions at any given time.

We trade technically but think fundamentally. The macro picture — capital flows, monetary policy, the geopolitical backdrop — tells us where conditions are forming. The technicals tell us when, and at what level, to act. We build conviction slowly.

The firm operates as a private manager. We do not solicit the general public and we are selective about the investors we accept. Our role is to act as a careful steward of the capital entrusted to us — nothing more, nothing less.

Philosophy

What we believe, and how we work.

A handful of principles guide everything we do. They are unfashionably simple — and we hold to them deliberately.

i.

Preservation

We measure every position by what it could cost us before what it could earn us. The arithmetic of drawdowns is unforgiving, so we treat capital preservation as our first discipline — not as a constraint on returns, but as their foundation.

ii.

Concentration over noise

We trade a manageable number of high-conviction positions rather than diluting attention across a sprawling book. Discipline beats activity.

iii.

Honest alignment

We speak plainly about strategy, risks and limitations. Investors deserve the same candor we would expect were the positions reversed.

iv.

Conviction, not stubbornness

A position held through losses is sometimes patience and sometimes obstinacy — we try to know the difference. We cut losing positions early and give the ones that are working the room to compound.
